TASK A
Differentiate between the male and female reproductive systems, also referring to hormones and pregnancy. You should explain and clarify what is meant by the term ‘infertility’ and the impact that infertility has on the body.
TASK B
Identify and explain the structures of the renal system and its function, including the process of filtration. Analyse the various impacts of diseases and disorders on the renal system.

PASS MERIT DISTINCTION
To achieve a PASS grade the learner has
• Differentiated between the male and female reproductive system, with mention of hormones and pregnancy. The learner has also explained and clarified what is meant by the term ‘infertility’ and the impact infertility has on the body.
• Identified and explained the structures of the renal system and its function, including the process of filtration.
• Analysed the various impacts of diseases and disorders on the renal system.

To achieve a MERIT grade the learner has achieved the Pass criteria and the following
• Evidence that shows answers are linked to the course material, indicating that the content has been understood.
• There is evidence that the learner has used external sources of information to good effect.

To achieve a DISTINCTION grade the learner has achieved the Merit criteria and the following
• Evidence that the learner communicated their knowledge effectively.
• Excellent evidence showing that answers are linked to the course material, indicating that the content has been thoroughly understood.
• There is evidence that the learner has used a wide range of external information sources to support an argument or theory.
• The learner has shown a very high level of effective communication throughout the assessment.
